Turning the page on 2020
We've got less than two days left in 2020, and honestly, I couldn't be more eager to put the year – and the pandemic, recession, wildfires, attacks on democracy – behind us.
But I'm not writing to talk about the obstacles of the past. Reflecting on the past year and celebrating the year ahead, is all about how we want to kick off what comes next.
Because Oregon progressives have some unfinished business.
That's why I'm asking you to chip in one last time in 2020 – to build momentum heading into 2021.
In the new year, I'm looking forward to:
Picking right back up in the fight to reduce our carbon footprint, make Oregon a green energy leader, and help communities recover from the horrendous fall fires;
Standing up to take meaningful action to reduce gun violence;
Making sure we maintain our commitment to students, teachers, and schools to face the challenges of a uniquely difficult year and work to safely reopen our schools; and
Supporting working families and our frontline workers as we work to quickly vaccinate the population and move toward reopening businesses and healing our communities,
And I'm looking forward to the opportunity to collaborate with the Biden-Harris administration and our Congressional Delegation as we build back better here in Oregon and across the country. In the near future, I'll be sharing the Oregon Senate Democrats' bold agenda for the year ahead. Stay tuned.
2021 is calling. And I know our grassroots movement is ready to answer.
In this case, it's all about momentum, so would you please chip in $21 before 2020 comes to a close?
I'm so grateful for your support, and wish you a happy new year!
Rob
PS. Oregon's state-backed Political Tax Credit allows some individuals to chip in $50, and families to chip in $100, to candidates or causes and get that money back on next year's taxes. But you have to donate before the end of the year!
