3 more critical races in Oregon:
If we want an Oregon that works, we need a Senate that centers people over profit and hope over fear. To do that, we need a strong Democratic majority. Today, I want to introduce you to three key races that I'm supporting:
Melissa Busch: Senate District 16
Melissa Busch is a home health nurse who travels Senate District 16, which represents the NW corner of the state including Columbia County, rural Multnomah and Washington Counties, and Tillamook and Clatsop Counties on the Oregon Coast. Melissa visits patients and their families in their homes, meeting them where they're at and providing care critical to their health and wellbeing. As a mother and union member, Melissa knows the importance of supporting working families.
As State Senator, Melissa will lead with the same care and compassion she brings to her patients day-in and day-out. Melissa's team is working hard, including knocking over 18,000 doors so far, and has secured key endorsements from community leaders and statewide organizations like Planned Parenthood, the Oregon Education Association, the Oregon Nurses Association, and the Oregon League of Conservation Voters.
Wlnsvey Campos: Senate District 18
From the age of 8 until she left for college, Wlnsvey Campos's family lived in a motel room because that's what they could afford. As someone who grew up in a low income household in rural Oregon, the daughter of Latino immigrants raised by a single father, a first-generation college student, and a community organizer, she is deeply connected to the issues that face her constituents and is committed to seeing Senate District 18 - its residents, local businesses, organizations, and local governments succeed.
Wlnsvey has worked as a case manager to get community members rehoused, she has worked in school health to help set up systems that meet the healthcare needs of students and their families, and is currently the State Representative for Oregon House District 28. Wlnsvey will bring diverse perspectives to issues, and brings the skills to bring people together in times of political division.
Aaron Woods - Senate District 13
Aaron Woods grew up on the south side of Chicago in a family that believed in giving back to the community. Aaron served in the U.S. Army where he acquired the skills that helped him in his high-tech career where he recently retired as a senior executive at Xerox.
Aaron currently serves on the Clackamas County Community College Board, Wilsonville Planning Commission, Wilsonville Alliance for Inclusive Community, and Dignity. In the Senate, Aaron will work to expand workforce development opportunities, support housing affordability, develop fully encompassed senior services, and ensure every Oregonian has access to affordable high-speed internet.
What you can do right now:
Now is the time to dig in and give our all to keep a Democratic majority in Oregon. Wealthy national Republicans see this year as a chance to flip Oregon red -- and are spending millions of dollars against us. We cannot let this happen.
Can I trust you to chip in $25, $50, $100 or more to elect Democrats to the Oregon Senate?
